Although the definition gives a basic idea of what a feature story is, you still might have some questions:
Basically, a feature story is an article that is fun to read, interesting and sometimes even heart-warming. It's not hard core news, nor is is it opinion based. It is the closest thing a newspaper has to a true "story." It doesn't give you pertinent information and it doesn't try to persuade you of anything; it tells you a story.
